Benjamin Franklin Brown was the first child born to John Atlas Brown and Sarah 'Molly' Lowdermilk on November 25,1887 in Bear Creek Township,Chatham County, North Carolina, USA. He grew up to be a farmer. On December 1, 1912, in Randolph County, Bennie took Ina Jackson Bray as his bride and moved to Chatham County. They were blessed with nine children to love and raise on the farm.

Grandpa Brown worked hard to support and raise his family...his work was done...on Wednesday, December 23, 1959, he passed away in his home on Bennett RR, and was laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Coleridge, North Carolina.

Bennie was a small man in stature, but he stood tall in the eyes of his children. He and Ina raised them in such a manner as to respect others and to be proud of their country, with several of the boys serving in the Military. I say 'Thank You' to all who served the United States of America.
