Biography

Minnie (Brookshire) Whitehead was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Minnie Brookshire was born on March 31, 1896 in Carter County, Tennessee.[1] She was the daughter of Samuel Brookshire and Mary.[2][3]

Minnie married William B Stout on December 31, 1911 in Carter County.[4] She was 15 years old and William was 17.

They had one known child, Fayette Noah Stout who was born on March 14, 1913. His father died in June, 1913.

It is possible that Minnie married Henry Pearce on March 29, 1914 in Carter County when Fayette was one year old.[5]If she did, there are no known children from this marriage, based on the 1930 census.[6]

Minnie married Charles S. Whitehead on November 12, 1921 in Carter County.[7] They had one child, Elizabeth Whitehead, born about 1916.[6]

Minnie died on February 21, 1975 and is buried in Monte Vista Memorial Park, Johnson City (Washington County), Tennessee.[1]
