Thomas died from 'cerebral congestion'. Death Certificate, and registered at the DRO, 22 Nov 1877. Thomas Hardy Brooker was named in honour of Thomas Hardy, who became renown for his vineyards, in Australia. Thomas Henry helped to establish the business at Underdale, South Australia.

BROOKER.— On the 21st November, at Hindmarsh, of convulsions, Thomas Hardy, the infant son of Thomas H. and Emma Brooker, aged 8 months and 3 weeks.^[1]
