This Lionel Fleming authored a family history and, other than his father, all the rest of his ancestors are incorrect as you have them. Lionel was a descendants of Lionel Fleming c1725-1803(?) of New Court, Co. Cork. If you are related to this Lionel Fleming I can help to clear up his ancestors. I have been trying to connect my Flemings of Schull, Co. Cork to the same.

Hi John, welcome to Wikitree. Now the real work starts.

Unfortunately you committed a huge gedcom with many duplicates around the 14th of April 2017. Two bio's with two different boilerplates (not your own fault) now have to be integrated. The reason is that we are collating data, and we need to see who add which data using what source when.

Using Grové-757 as an example, your gedcom provided the for example more marriage details as well as the date & place of birth. But the date of death might be wrong Yet we do not ommit any data, therefore it needs to be integrated. One such integration (including the merge) cost me 30 min (at least). Please use the format as given in the example.

Now the COGH hope isn't the easiest project to start with, but perhaps you would like to join the South African Roots Project first to learn a bit how everything works here at WikiTree? We are working on help pages for everyone can learn more about WikiTree and how everything works around here.

Hi John,

This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.

You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.

As always, your questions are welcome!

You may have been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

As always, your questions are welcome!

John, I'm also very new to this, but I'm very interested in Rev. James Fleming's true lineage. The pedigree chart I found, indicates that his parents were Rev John Fleming and Janet Witherspoon (who had roots to John Knox and the royal Stuarts). His parent are listed as James Fleming and a Stuart of Atholl. Here the chart ends. I'd like to work on establishing an accurate record of this branch.

John,

RE; https://www.WikiTree.com/wiki/Fleming-625, was adopted in my early time on WikiTree and I have found of late there is no relation to me. I have added you to the trusted list and put this profile up for adoption if you are interested. Best Regards, Cheryl

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better.

You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Hello John,

Thanks for getting in touch, I too am a victim of a GEDCOM import which decided to omit all of my sources!

I do not have a personal connection to Henry Lomberg, but spent the weekend working on removing database errors and adding unsourced tags as I was going, so I worked on many profiles from all over the world.

Do let me know if there is anything I can do to help with your research, my knowledge of Norwegian genealogy is poor, but I'm always up for a challenge!
