Lydia was born in 1737. She was the daughter of John Brinton and Hannah Vernon. She passed away in 1801. In 1754, she married Nayle Woodward. He was the son of her stepfather. (He was 18 and she was 12 when her mother married his father.) They became members of the Birmingham Meeting. Together, they had 7 children. In 1769, Nayle died. Close to the beginning of 1771, she remarried to Thomas Buffington. From Quaker Records, this was accomplished with a priest which appears to have led to their removal from the Society of Friends. They had one more child. Thomas died in 1796. The farm where they lived was left to this one child, Joshua. I believe Lydia lived there until her death 5 years later.
