Biography
Christian Brew was born in the Isle of Man
Christian, daughter of Thomas Brew, was known as the heiress of Ballamoar.
She married Patrick Christian in 1608.
Christian died on 13 February 1645/6 and was buried on 18 February 1645/6 in Jurby, Isle of Man.[1] She left a will naming[2]:
- daughter and executor Catherine
- son William Christian
- daughter Ann Christian
- son Patrick Christian
- daughter Joney Christian
- granddaughter Ann Freer
Neither her husband Patrick (died 1632) nor their son and heir Donald are mentioned in the will.
Christian is listed on the monument to the owners of Ballamoar in the Jurby churchyard:[3]
