Margaret was born in 1871. She was the daughter of Hugh Breckenridge and Ellen McPhail.
She married John Ralston in 1897.[1]
They lived in Rockford. [2]
She passed away in 1938.
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret A. Ralston. 66, 1332 Camp avenue, who died at 2 a. m. Friday at St. Anthony hospital, will be held Monday, at 1 p. m. at the First Presbyterian church. The Rev. William H. Fulton will officiate, and burial will be in Willow Creek Cemetery, Argyle, Ill.
Mrs. Ralston was born in Guilford township Nov. 30, 1871, the daughter of Hugh C. and Ellen McPhail Breckenridge. She had been an active member of the First Presbyterian church for many years and had served as treasurer of the Freeport Presbyterial Society for World Missions. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a daughter, Gladys Ralston, teacher at Roosevelt junior high school; a brother, E. M. Breckenridge, Guilford; and two sisters, Mrs. Williiam McEachram of Rockford and Mrs. J. Earl Ralston of Albuquerque, N. M.
Her husband, John G. Ralston, whom she married March 4 1897, died Jan 24, 1933. [3]
John and Margaret are third cousins. Alexander Ralston is their second great grandfather.
