Thanks. I agree with your assessment. Is their a mother's maiden name on the children's birth records?

Campbell,

I have spent the past several days researching James Lowes and Issoble Foulis, and have decided that James Lowes (Lowes-320) is not the husband of Issoble Foulis.

I am going to detach him as her husband. There are several different Transcriptions of James last name on the marriage record of James Lowes and Issoble Foulis, they include Loch as you have, plus Lowes and Lough.

I know he (Lowes-320) is the father of of Elizabeth Loues, Isobell Lowes, Mary Loues and Janet Loues as I have their baptism records, I have not found any records of an alternate marriage for (Lowes-320) so his daughters will remain motherless.

As previously said I have not worked on this line for a number of years.

Hi Campbell,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
