Biography

Johanna, the daughter of Vice Corporal Carl Peter Brand and his wife Ingar Johansdotter Hallberg, was born in Höja parish, Kristianstad county, Sweden on April 13, 1793 and baptized four days later in the Höja parish church.^[1]

On June 1, 1822 Johanna married Lars Nilsson in Björnekulla parish, Kristianstad.^[2] Between 1820 and 1841 they had nine children.

Johanna passed away of tuberculosis on September 13, 1850 in Mörarp parish, Malmöhus county, Sweden and was buried one week later in Mörarp.^[3]
