Biography

Conrad Brandt, son of William Brandt and Eugenie Ducharme, was born on 31 July 1867 in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, United States.^[1]

He married Marie Vouaux, daughter of Auguste Vouaux and Marie Emilia Trahan, in Lafayette, Lafayette Parish. They applied for a license on 31 March 1885 at the Lafayette courthouse, and were wed on 7 April 1885 at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral.^[2] He was widowed the next year, in 1886.^[3] They had no known children.

He then married Marie Alice Bernard, daughter of Clemile Bernard and Eugenie Celima Richard, in Lafayette. They applied for a license on 16 April 1887 at the courthouse, and were wed two days later in the church.^[4]

Research Notes

No other records for the Brandt-Bernard couple or children were found on the SWLR CD. Need to review the SWLR volumes for 1901-1915, and census records etc.
