John Brancestre held land in Banbury as early as 1365. [1]
He married Margaret, the daughter of Henry Mile, and widow of William de Welham. [2]

I agree with Andew. I haven't located any reliable sources showing John Brancastre as son of William Banastre. I've disconnected him from William & Sybil.

Brancestre and Banester are completely different surnames I think? Has someone just pasted these families together? The Brancestres are discussed in Macnamara: https://books.google.be/books?id=NkAIAwAAQBAJ My first impression is that this person should be de-linked from the parents?
