Biography

Pvt James Brady was Killed in Action during The United States Civil War.
Pvt. James Brady was married to Ann, they lived in Montgomery, Pennsylvania at the time of his enlistment into the Union Army.
James enlisted at the age of 38, on 4 September 1861 at Upper Marion, Pennsylvania. He was mustered into Company I, 51st Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry on 28 September 1861.[1]
Pvt. Brady was killed at Milldale, Mississippi on 6 August 1863. He is buried in the Vicksburg National Cemetery, Section O, 3494. His wife Ann collected on his military pension, her residence was Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[2]
