Oliver Culbertson Brady was born about 1833 in Pennsylvania, United States, son of Samuel Brady (1810– ) and Elizabeth (Leasure) Brady (1806–1887).

Oliver died on 20 Jan 1882 in Indiana County Pennsylvania, USA, aged about 48. He is commemorated at Marion Center Memorial Cemetery, Marion Center, Pennsylvania.^[1]

Oliver married Margaret Crawford (born about 1839). Their known children were:

Research Notes

My great thanks to Donna Cuillard of the Brady Family Association for the following information: Oliver Culbertson Brady (1833-1882) and his wife Margaret Crawford (1842-1882) and three of their children along with a nephew they were raising, all died from diphtheria between 17 Nov 1881 & 4 February 1882 in Indiana County, PA. Oliver is a descendant of Samuel Brady (son of Hugh & Hannah) & Jane Simonton. Four of Oliver & Margaret's children survived the diphtheria. The surviving children were: Jennie E. Brady who married John M. Smiley; Samuel C. Brady who married Lucy Ellen Atkinson; William Banks Brady who married Mabel Blanch Bruce; Alice Della Brady who died before she married. Is one of these an orphaned child you may be seeking? William Banks Brady (one of the surviving children) settled in Bannock, Idaho, which was an early Mormon settlement.
