On 1 June 1842 she married Rev David Carlyle Courtenay, Rector of Glenarm, Country Antrim, with issue one son and one daughter.
Dorothea was mentioned on a memorial in Saint Patrick's Church of Ireland, Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland with a death date of 1874.[1]
