Joseph Bradshaw was born at Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, in 1854, the son of Joseph Bradshaw and Margaret Anne Scott.[1]
He had pastoral interests in the Kimberley, Arnham Land and Victoria River region of the Northern Territory. He and his brother set up Bradshaw's Run Station near the Victoria River. It is now a DoD training area.
He married Mary Guy in 1891, and they had several sons.
