She was the daughter of George Bradburn and Hannah (Pierson) Bradburn.^[1],who were at that time living in the parish of Barton, Lancashire. She was Christened 6 March 1791 at Eccles, Lancashire. Wording on the original Christening entry: "Margaret, Daughter of George Bradburn of Barton, Weaver, by Hannah his Wife" England, .^{[2] [3] [4]}
