Hi. I believe we are related through Boutilier-69 who married Sarah Grange. Is it not odd that both of them died on the ship while travelling to Nova Scotia?

I am also a Hiltz descendant, as well as Gates and Meister, all who lived in The Forties.

RE: Maria Louisa (Hiltz) Rogers (Hiltz-77)

Hi. This information came from an article written by the New Ross Historical Society based on oral history. I will try and find the url for you.

I would be interested in the information you have regarding the family coming from Germany rather than Holland.

Thanks Azra for the response. I will continue to search for evidence on Isabella McClearn's maiden name!

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

I appreciate all you've done, Azra, thus far!

I have a few cousins in Ohio, that I'm going to check with. What other names are you looking for? Perhaps, I may be able to help though them. Thanks again! don. c

Greetings Azra!

I still cannot find any information about my Grandfather's ancestry from Turkey. Were you able to unlock any secret paths on your end. I have made a request to the Turkish government, to no avail. Thanks, my friend! don c

Hi, I saw you answered a question "How are names handled, such as Arabic ?" and was wondering if you had any advice for someone I know, who would like to research the Armenian branch of her family. Thanks for any clues or pointers.

Hi Anonymous,

I am working on my husbands line. It is his grandmother Mary Margeret Hiltz and her father Reuben Hiltz that we go through. I am having trouble finding a death date for Reuben, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Reuben was born 15 Aug 1887, in The Narrows, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Father William Henry James Hiltz and Mother is Eunice Cleveland.

It's a way back.connection, so very small segments, but...

One-to-One with My Mom

Largest segment = 4.7 cM Total of segments > 3 cM = 11.9 cM 3 matching segments

She is the daughter of Jaunita (Swaim) Matthews, and neither side of her family is otherwise connected to Canada to my knowledge. The more I play with it, the more faith I have in comparison down to a 3cm minimum threashold for distant cousins. The default 7cm makes for easier traceability of unknown connections... but I have found several 6th-10th Cousins with 3-5 CM sized shared segments, and many who I don't expect to be related to are well below 3 CM. Just thought you might be interested.
