My father's family (Fred and Myrtle Boyd) moved from Drakes Creek, Madison County,Arkansas during the Great Depression, picking crops, ended up in California and Oregon. Fred and Myrtle lived In a small house on my parents' property. Together with my parents they raised a large vegetable garden. They raised chickens for eggs and meat. We had rabbits for a while. I remember many fond memories with my grandparents. I spent many nights overnight, roasting marshmallows, hotdogs in the fireplace. Grandma Boyd would make root beer floats. Many uncles, aunts, cousins would come to visit and as a child, I would play with them.My paternal grandfather, Fred Boyd, trained dogs for hunting, search and rescue and seeing eye dogs for the blind. My cousins would play hide and seek and have the dogs find us in the woods using a scent from our clothes, etc.
My mother's family (Karjala), immigrated from Finland, owned a working farm in Quincy, Oregon, outside Clatskanie, OR. The family also fished in the nearby Columbia River. There is a nearby community graveyard, that was largely neglected, at last time I visited. I visited there with my mother's family on "Decoration Day",(aka Memorial Day), bringing flowers we grew and wild flowers. My mother, Elvie Sophie Karjala Boyd always grew beautiful flowers.

Thanks for creating the profile for Ethel Iva (Oliver) Conncannan!
Source documents found show her LNAB (last name at birth) to be Donelson and her mother, Mary Ann (Heady) Oliver's LNAB to be Hurst.
Can you edit their LNAB to reflect the information discovered in the research? Alternatively, can you add me as a profile manager to both profiles so that I may do so?
Thank you,
Azure Rae
