Emily Louisa Box was born at Abingdon, Berkshire, in about 1841. She was the second daughter of John Box M.R.S.C who was associated with Abingdon, Berkshire[1][2][3]

Emily Louisa Box married John Burton of Gresford at St Helen's Church, Abingdon on the 23rd August 1866. The officiating Vicar was John's brother, Rev. R.O. Burton of Minera Hall, Wrexham.[2][6][7]
Emily and John lived at The Old Parsonage, Gresford.[2]
Son: Charles A. Burton. aged 21, born Denbighshire.
Emily Burton of Plas-yn-Roe, St Asaph died on the 23rd February 1900.[2][9]She was buried at Gresford on the 27th February 1900.[10]Probate was granted to Thomas Reginald James[11]
