Biography
Amelia Bowtell (married name Wines) was born in 1879 in Euroa, Colony of Victoria[1]. She was the daughter of Rose Bowtell and David Bowtell. (See Research Notes below)
She married Henry Wines in 1897 in Colony of Victoria.[2]
Amelia died on/about 10 August 1912 in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia[3] and was buried at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery[4].
Research notes
Amelia's parents were living as "man and wife" in Euroa but no marriage has been located. Her father had been married previously to Mary Riley (or Craven) who had passed away in 1873 in Colony of Tasmania. It is not know where the surname BROOKS originated but 3 or 4 of her siblings were also born with the same surname.
