John Bourchier was a clerk,[1] which means he held some sort of position in the Church.
Research Notes
Estimated birth date: The profile had birth as "after 1430", but his parents were not married until after 10 October 1441 (date his mother's first husband died[1]). Also, Richardson lists him third (of John's sons),[1] and third sons generally were for the church. Therefore, a better guess for his birth year would be about 1445-1450. (Birth about 1450, since his brother Thomas's profile has birth c1448.)

This profile is effectively unsourced. Does anyone know of evidence that John Bourchier and Margaret Berners had a son called Fulke? Standard sources, including Richardson, point to their having three sons, Humphrey, Thomas and John, with no mention of a Fulk(e). There is no current profile for the son called John, and I am minded to rename this profile for him as there are no facts in this profile. There were Fulk(e) Bourchier's in other branches of the Bourchier family.
