Thank you so much for responding to our check-in for the Acadia Project
We are sorry to hear that you are not currently active, but we understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
On behalf of the Acadia Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. Please let me know if you are still active, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the project, or a sub-project, within the last two months.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
Also, note that all 3 lists include names from outlying provinces (Maine, Normandie & Beauce). On the map at Place of origin of 275 Percherons to immigrate to New France, the names departing from St-Cosme-de-Vair is very close to the Maine-Perche border, which is currently in Sarthe département strictly-speaking at least partly on Maine side of the border, but traditionally included as being part of Percheron immigration movement. See especially, Carpin, pp. 478-480.
Re François Brunet(brunet-6), he is, according to PRDH, from ancient Bourbonnais province and is included in the listing because Carpin includes him as #248 in his list and shows him departing from St-Germain de Loisé in Perche. Note that perche-quebec.com & perche-canada.net do NOT include him in their listings. I will show brunet-6 with Bourbonnais coat-of-arms for now.
A bientôt, Carole
Our Acadians project will be profiled June 17 on the WikiTree blog. It will have a table of Acadian First Families including highlights from their profiles. Please check out your family lines here to see if any fixes are needed. Best wishes Annette
Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.
Take care,
Laura ~ WikiTree Greeter
