Francis Boston was born in Cheshire, England.

Early Years

Francis Boston was born about 1822 at Elton, Cheshire, England, and was baptised on 21 April 1822 at Warmington, Cheshire.^[1] He was the son of John Boston and Jane Shakerley.

Francis was the eldest of six children born to John and Jane:

Francis married Elizabeth Slater on 27 Jan 1847 at Sandbach, Cheshire, England.^[3]

In the 1871 census of Sandbach, Cheshire, England, Francis was age 49, Shoe Manufacturer, and living at Middlewich Road with his wife Elizabeth (52) and children Jane (23), John (21), Mary Ann (17), Francis (13) and Emily (11).^[6]

Death

Francis died on 19 December 1887, aged 65, at Sandbach, Cheshire, England, his death registered between Oct-Dec 1887 at Congleton, Cheshire.^[7] Probate on 26 March 1888 recorded:
