Elvina Regina (Borngraber) Hassler, 89, died Tuesday in a Lewistown hospital of natural causes. Her funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with burial in Lewistown City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church. Creel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was born Jan. 9, 1908, at Delmont, S.D. The family moved to Montana when she was young and she attended school at Roy and Brooks. She moved to Iowa, where she finished her education and then returned to Montana.
On Dec. 20, 1925, she married William Hassler at Lewistown.
Her hobbies were gardening, crocheting and sewing and she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Hilger Women's Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue Glenn of Hilger, a son, Lyle Hassler of Hilger; sisters, Olga Hassler of Lewistown and Annie Troll of Iowa; and four grandchildren.
Her husband died in 1983 and a son, Harold, died in 1972.
