Irène Bordoniwas a French singer and a Broadway and film actress^[1]

She was born Irène Charlotte Lemonnier on 16 January 1889 at 56 rue de la Victoire in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Her mother was Marie Lemonnier, a 21-year-old seamstress.^[2] On 15 June 1891 she was formally acknowledged as his daughter by Sauveur Dominique Pasquino Bordoni, a tailor from Corsica.^[3] She was acknowledged by her mother on 2 October 1893.^[4]

Irene Bordoni was first married to actor Edgar Becman, They divorced in 1917.

Irene married secondly on 24 October 1918 to Broadway producer and lyricist Edward Ray Goetz; they divorced in 1929. ^[5][6]

Irene was later associated with theatrical agent and producer Avery Galen Bogue (1896-1951).

She died on 19 March 1953 at Jewish Memorial Hospital in in New York City, New York, USA and was buried at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. ^[7]
