Joseph was born about 1846. He was the son of William Booth and Mary Long.[1][2][3][4]

In 1880, Jesse and Elizabeth were residing in Botetourt County, Virginia, with their children, and Jesse's mother, Mary, age 60.[5]

He passed away in 1918.[4]
