Seth Booth was an early settler of Locke, Cayuga County, New York.

Biography

Seth was born on 5 December 1771 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. He was the son of Anthony Booth (abt.1724-abt.1802) and Rachel (Parker) Booth (1727-1789). Seth was listed as a son in Anthony's will written in 1800.

Seth married Thankful (Hackett) Booth (1778-1858) on 10 March 1796 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.^[1]

Seth Booth and his father-in-law Edward Hackett were pioneer settlers of Locke, establishing a settlement in 1798.^[2]

He and his wife, Thankful Hackett, had five children.

Seth passed away at age 49 on 3 May 1821 in Locke, Cayuga County, New York, USA. He is buried in the Chipman Corner Cemetery in Locke, Cayuga County, New York.^[3]
