Mary was born in 1846 in Warrington, Lancashire.[1]
Marriage
James Massey and Mary Jane Booth were married after banns at St Peter's, Oughtrington, Cheshire on 13th August 1866.[2] They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and living in Lymm. James was a labourer and the son of William Massey who was a labourer. Mary Jane was the daughter of William Booth who was a shoemaker. Mary signed her own name on the register whilst James could only make his mark with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Charles Fulks and Louisa Booth.[3]
