Daniel was born in November 1710 at Fort St George, Madras, the eldest son of Charles Boone and his first wife, Jane Chardin. [1] His mother died on the 28th of November the year of his birth presumably of the consequences of childbirth. He was educated at Eton, Inner Temple, and Clare and Trinity colleges at Cambridge University. [1]
His father did not remarry until the 8th of August 1727. His new wife was Mary Garth, daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Garth and widow of George Evelyn of Godstone. [2]
Daniel was first returned to parliament in 1734 as member for Ludgershall with Peter Delme. [3]
On the 27th of June 1736 he married his step-sister, Anne Evelyn, widow of Thomas Gregg. [1] They were the parents of two daughters. [1]
In 1741 he obtained a parliamentary seat at Grampound [4] and sat for Stockbridge in 1747. [5] His last constituency was Minehead where he took the seat in 1754. [6]
Daniel died on the 20th of May 1770. [1]
