Born in California, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Boone and Elizabeth Cooper. Graduated from San Bernardino High School Class 1916. Married on June 10, 1920 to Everett Howard Tipton in El Paso, El Paso Co., Texas.
To this union were added four children: Helen Berniece, Lamar Boone, Elizabeth Ida, and Ann Margaret.
