I look forward to hearing from you..
Many thanks,
Mary~ Project Coordinator, Membership, US Southern Colonies
Thanks for the Check in, Toni. It took me a little bit to decide who you were. I listed you as Toni Boone with married name of Sams. Marked you ACTIIVE .. Have a good year.
Thank you for joining our project. We are pleased that you decided to join us and hope that you find the Orphan Trail rewarding.
The England Project Leaders like to touch base with each of our members periodically to make sure everything is going well. This is our formal annual check-in and we are interested in your perspective as a Trailer, whether you are still waiting to be buddied up with a Trailblazer, on the road to completing the Orphan Trail, or taking a short break.
We would be interested to hear whether you're finding the explanations and guidance in the Orphan Trail pages useful. No more than a couple of sentences would be enough. We are always looking to improve and feedback plays an important part.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please respond by posting a reply below or sending me a private message.
On behalf of all the Leaders, thank you again. We look forward to your completion of the Orphan Trail and your continued involvement in our collaborative and fun Project!
We ended the Magna Carta Project affiliate scheme some time ago, which means a sticker on your profile should be deleted. You will see there is an error indication on it. Thank you for having expressed interest in the Project. Michael Cayley, co-Leader, Magna Carta Project
We hope you are enjoying your time in the Orphan Trail Team; even if you are currently taking a Pause or waiting to be buddied up with a Trailblazer. We are pleased that you decided to join us and on behalf of the England Project, I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve English profiles!
We are looking forward to you joining one of our other collaborative and energetic teams once you complete the Trail.
I'd also like to share our annual Newsletter with you. You can read it here: England Project Newsletters. We hope you enjoy reading a bit about what has gone on in 2022 and what our Project has achieved.
The England Project Leaders like to touch base with each of our members every 6 months just to make sure everything is going well. There's no need to reply to this message unless you have something you'd like to let us know about (e.g. if you would like to provide us with feedback about the Trail or the project). We will be in touch with you again in the middle of next year when we do our annual check-in with project members.
On behalf of all the Leaders, I wish you a peaceful and productive 2023.
Please read both Team pages as the space pages are full of Team goals, info, resources and sources.
If you have Team questions, just ask your team leader. Other questions you can ask me, I will try to answer. Also your leaders are Darlene Athey-Hill and Scott McClain
Mary Richardson- Project Coordinator, US Southern Colonies
PS I am going to leave the links also on your personal page, as emails move down until they vanish. You might want to bookmark the pages for quick access.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
On behalf of the England Project, I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the project's goals over the past year. Every English profile we improve helps!
The England Project Leaders are currently doing our six-monthly check-in with all project members.
Are you happy to with your current project team choices? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?
We also welcome any feedback on things you would like to see the project do more of in the future.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message.
Thanks for responding to our Leader check-in (a requirement of ongoing Project membership) and thanks for your contributions.
I've tried to contact you several times but haven't heard from you. Completing the Orphan Trail is a compulsory requirement for all our project members. You can refresh yourself with the requirements here: Requirements for Membership.
After completing the Trail, you can then join and participate in any of our Teams Beyond the Trail: Teams Beyond the Trail.
As we haven't heard from you in some time, if we do not hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you no longer wish to complete the Orphan Trail and remain in the England Project. This means you would be removed from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.
Please reach out to me in a Private Message if you would like to chat about the help which may be available to you. You might like to check out the the Accessibility Angels project.
Cheers,
Susie
Orphan Trail co-Project Coordinator

You've also created duplicates of some pre-1700 profiles. You should always carefully check for profiles before adding a new pre-1700 profile because, chances are, there's already an existing profile on WikiTree. Sometimes, particularly with Welsh names, there will be a different/similar spelling.
I got confused. That happens a lot to me. I had several tabs open at the same time. Usually, I got back and correct it, but it was closed off to me before I could do it.
Thanks for your participation during our Connect-A-Thon 2020. It is amazing how many more profiles were created and added to our Shared Tree over the weekend. I hope you’ll join us for the Source-a-thon this fall.
I want to thank so many people for working on this tree and clearing up messes that I have made. I have been ill for a long time and not able to get on as much. I appreciate you all.
I wanted to say that an account was put in my name years before and many entries were not accurate. I have since tried to clear it . Watty Boone is my 4th great grandfather. I am aware of his family line. Thank you all for your help.
Toni, I think I can see where the error crept in -- on other sites, different people have different trees so maybe merge means that you are merging two trees. On WikiTree there is only one tree and we all share it, so here merge means that you are merging two profiles into one. So you have to be sure they are the same person before start a merge!
Toni, you seem to be trying to merge other profiles with your own profile. I think maybe you are trying to make some kind of connection between that profile and your own, but with a merge, both profiles become one! I got a notice that you were trying to merge yourself with Bohun-7. Bohun-7 lived in the 1100's. If you were truly the same as him, you would be dead for almost a thousand years! Wouldn't wish that on you!
Toni I see that you have proposed a number of merges that have been rejected. The reason for this is that a merge should only be proposed and completed for profiles that clearly represent the same person. Profiles that are of two different persons should not be merged.
Please review the Wikitree Help section on making merges. Merges should only be done where two profiles are the same (duplicate) person.
Toni I proposed a merge for Alexander Gordon and Alexander Gordon because they appear to be the same person. It is unlikely that two differenct persons with the same name would be married to the same person. If these do represent two different persons then one, or both contain sources and bio information that is in error and that incorrect information should be removed or corrected. If these two profiles do reprent the same person they should be merged and any incorrect information should be corrected. Proper sourcing is a must. In Alexander Gordon's case there are conflicting sources that should be resolved if at all possible. This might be a good profile to post a question in G2G regarding the inconsistancies, such as who actually married Agnes.
Hello Toni - unfortunately you appear to have created quite a few duplicate profiles in the last 10 days. I know it can be difficult when entering profiles because Wikitree doesn't always alert you to the fact that there is another profile for that person. It's particularly difficult with pre-1700 profiles when birth dates might not be exact. I always find that it helps to try to search for the person before I add them and use options such as + or - 12 years, or even 30 years for the birth date. I've also noticed that you don't appear to be adding any sources for your profiles. Remember that appropriate sources are essential for every profile on Wikitree. Thank you.

I see you've connected some early Welsh profiles without sources. Specifically, Amelia Jane (Richard) Beaven (abt.1610-abt.1660), whose profile is unsourced.
Please remember to communicate before editing pre-1700 profiles that you do not manage - especially when you're adding/removing parents/children on pre-1700 profiles. See: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Communication_Before_Editing and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources.
