Slaves

After her husband's death, Elizabeth continued to maintain their farm and was listed as the owner of slaves on the 1850[4] and 1860[5] United States Census (Slave Schedule). In 1850, they're listed as a 50 year old woman, a 20 year old man and a 5 year old boy. In 1860, they're listed as a 50 year old woman, a 26 year old man and a 15 year old boy. In all likelihood, these are the same people with poorly recorded dates of birth.
