Biography

Francesca Galante, age 58 (b. 1796), midwife, reports the birth of a boy to Caterina di Benedetto, age 19 (b. 1835), living in via Bonventre, and of Giuseppe Bonventre, age 26 (b. 1828), contadino, that day in their home. The boy is named Martino Bonventre.^[1]

On 14 July 1876 in Catellammare del Golfo, Martino Bonventre, age 21 (b. 1855), villico, native resident of Castellammare, son of the late Giuseppe Bonventre and the living Caterina di Benedetto; and Carmela Magaddino, age 16 (b. 1860), faticatrice, native resident of Castellammare, daughter of Pietro Magaddino and Arcangela Ancona; announce their marriage in the civil record.^[2]

On 26 March 1883 in Castellamare, Mariana Pampalone, age 47 (b. 1836), midwife, reports the birth on 23 March of a baby to Carmela Magaddino fu Pietro, wife of Martino Bonventre fu Giuseppe, age 28 (b. 1855), carrettiere, in their home in via Pergola, #6, in Castellammare del Golfo. The baby is a girl and is named Caterina.^[3]

On 15 March 1904 in Castellammare del Golfo, Salvatore Bonanno, celibe, age 25 (b. 1879), possidente, son of the late Giuseppe Bonanno and the living Vita Vallone; and Martino Bonventre, age 50 (b. 1854), borgese, father of Caterina Bonventre, age 20 (b. 1884), housewife, daughter of Carmela Magaddino, housewife; publish their intention to celebrate a marriage between Bonanno and Bonventre in Castellammare.^[4]

On 7 February 1910 in Castellammare del Golfo, Giuseppe Bonventre, bachelor, native resident of Castellammare, age 28 (b. 1882), possidente, son of Martino Bonventre and Carmela Magaddino; and Francesca Galante, nubile, age 19 (b. 1891), housewife, native resident of Castellammare, daughter of Leonardo Galante and the late Giovanna Ingoglia; announce their marriage in the civil record.^[5]
