Biography

Marie Elmire was baptised on 14 November 1851 in St Francois Xavier, Manitoba, Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre Bonneau and Louise (Gardipee) Bonneau. Godfather: Michel Desmarais, Godmother: Josette Rochon, Louis Lafleche priest. [1][2]

In 1870 Elmire was one of 5 children in the household of Pierre and Louise Bonneau. The family resided in St Francois Xavier.[3]

On February 12, 1872 Elmire Bonneau married Modeste Poitras at Sacred Heart in Lebret, Saskatchewan.[4]
