Biography

Norman joined the US Army in 1898, and fought in the Spanish-American War. He mustered out of the Army in 1901 while at Camp Stotsenburg in the Phillipine Islands. He ended his service unscathed. During the following years, he attended college classes at the University of Oklahoma at Stillwater. Sometime between 1905 and 1908, he married a gal named Anna Maude, and returned to work at the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Los Angeles (Sawtelle, CA). In 1908 he sustained an injury at the Home, and lost his right leg above the knee.[1]

In 1920 and 1930, he is listed as an "inmate" at the United States Soldiers' Home in Los Angeles[2] and in Washington, D.C. [3]

He died, single, while living in Denver, Colorado.[4]

(Unsure of any details about his wife.)
