Henry Clarence Bolton was born on September 18, 1893 in Hernando, DeSoto, Mississippi, United States, son of Charles Franklin Bolton (1857–1936) and Lavinia V Johnson (~1861–>1950)..[1] Note: When Henry filled out his World War II draft registration on February 16, 1942 in Mound Bayou, Bolivar, Mississippi, he listed his date of birth as September 18, 1897.[2] This is also the date used on his social security records.[3]
On June 1, 1900, Henry, aged 6, was the son of C F Bolton in Beat 4, DeSoto, Mississippi.[4]
On April 15, 1910, Henry, aged 16, was the single son of Chas S Bolton in Beat 5, DeSoto, Mississippi.[5]
Henry registered for the World War I draft on June 5, 1917 in Mississippi County, Arkansas.[1]
On January 1, 1920, Henry, aged 23, was the single son of Charles F Bolton in Beat 3, Bolivar, Mississippi.[6]
Henry married Alice Priestly sometime between 1930 and 1940, probably in Bolivar County, Mississippi.
On April 1, 1940, Henry, aged 43, was the married head of household in Mound Bayou, Bolivar, Mississippi.[7]
On April 1, 1950, Henry, aged 50, farmer, was the married head of household in Mound Bayou, Bolivar, Mississippi.[8]
Henry died (age 63) on August 30, 1962 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. According to his death record, he was buried September 8, 1962 in Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip, Cook County, Illinois.[9]
