Biography

Anna was born before or on 28 November 1609, the day of her baptism, in Calmbach near Neuenbürg, Duchy of Württemberg. She was the daughter of Hans Ullrich Bodamer and Maria Reister.

Anna married Werner Kappler, a widower from Igelsloch in 1637.

The exact date of the marriage is not known. The pastor who wrote the register entry forgot the date.
The couple settled in Dobel, a village on the heights of the northern Black Forest near Neuenbürg. Since the population of Dobel was severely decimated as a result of the plague epidemic and looting and destruction during the Thirty Years' War, Dobel was no longer an independent parish during the Thirty Years' War. The couple's children were therefore initially baptized in various places in the surrounding area.
Their children were:

2. Maria, bapt. 13 February 1642 in Wildbad.
3. Johannes "Hans", bapt. 14 June 1643 in Wildbad, married Catharina Karcher 16 Nov 1669 in Dobel, died 15 December 1701 in Dobel.
4. Hans Werner, bapt. 4 October 1646 in Widlbad, married Barbara Bäurlin November 1675 in Dobel.
5. Johann Philipp, bapt. 20 February 1648 in Wildbad, married (i) Margaretha Dahlinger 16 February 1680 in Dobel (ii) Anna Margaretha Raw 10 May 1681 in Dobel, died 5 January 1727 in Dobel.
6. Hans Andreas, bapt. 8 February 1650 in Dobel, died before 12 October 1651 (see next child).
7. Hans Andreas, bapt. 12 October 1651 in Dobel.
8. Elias, bapt. 3 April 1654 in Dobel.

Anna was buried on 3 May 1693 in Dobel.
