Vernon Charles Bloomfield was born in Bundaberg, Queensland in 1895. [1] He is the son of George Bloomfield and his wife Jane (nee Barton).
Driver Vernon Charles BLOOMFIELD enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) on the 29th of September 1916. He was initially listed with the May 1917 Reinforcements which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A68 Anchises on 8 August 1917. Driver Vernon Charles Bloomfield later served with the 3rd Field Company Engineers and returned to Australia 16 June 1919. [1]
Vernon Charles Bloomfield died on 27 May 1956 in Brisbane, Queensland and was buried in the Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium, Holland Park, Queensland. [2]
