Biography
François Blondeau was the son of Daniel Blondeau and Françoise Duvau, baptized Daniel on 9 August 1629 in the parish of St-Pierre, in the city of Saumur, Anjou, France (Maine-et-Loire).[1][2]
His first presence noted in the colony was in 1651, as a land-clearer (contract before Guillaume Audouart).
Marriage
François Blondeau entered into a marriage contract on 29 January 1655 before notary Guillaume Audouart with Nicole Roland dite Gabrielle d'Assonville.[3] (see notes)
On 8 February 1655 in the chapel of the Jesuits' college, François Blondeau, son of Daniel Blondeau and of Françoise Duvau, of the parish of Nantilli in Saumur, married Nicole Rolan, daughter of Pierre Roland and of Françoise Dechos, of the parish of St-Sulpice in Paris, in the presence of known witnesses Abraham Martin and of Denys Duquet, Hierosme Lalemant celebrating.[4] (recorded in Notre-Dame de Québec)

The family appear to have moved around somewhat, they are in Québec city on 1666 and 1667 censuses, starting in 1662 the time lapse between birth and baptisms of their children gets wide, their daughter Marie Catherine being baptized in Château-Richer on the Beaupré coast. By the time of Thomas' birth they are in the Charlesbourg area, where they will remain thereafter. From the notarial acts, François received various concessions over the years, and appears to clear the land then sell it. Only in Charlesbourg does he accumulate land for himself, having 18 arpents cleared in 1681, and he will sell some of his land to 2 of his sons in 1694 and 1695 in the Charlesbourg area.

Death
François Blondeau died on 4 April 1702 and was buried on the 5th in Charlesbourg, in the chapel of L'Enfant-Jésus of the church of St-Charles, in the presence of his children and of Nicolas Thibaut. The record gives him sixty __ years of age (blank space on the act).[8]
Notes
His wife is first named Gabrielle d'Assonville on their contract and then it is crossed out and Nicole Rolland is entered, per Archange Godbout and Jetté.[2] She gets called Gabrielle d'Assonville on 2 of the baptisms of their children, the rest of the time named Nicole Rolland/Roland, once with the added dite des Pelleteaux. Per one of the marriages of their children, Nicole could not sign, whereas François signs just Blondeau. On their marriage, Nicole is first entered as Gabrielle d'Assonville and this is crossed out, the name Nicole Rolan entered instead.[5] See contract and marriage images on profile.

je ne peux pas fusionner ces deux profiles pour l'instant, car rien ne prouve que Daniel Blondeau(119) est le même que Francois Blondeau(20). Francois Blondeau est marié sous le nom de Francois et décédé sous le nom de Francois mais la personne a écrite Daniel(Francois) comme prénom, pour l'instant je suis sur autre chose mais je vais revenir sur les Blondeau puisque c'est le cousin à mon père :) .
Alors pour l'instant on doit les laisser comme ça :( . Je cherche toujours Francois. Entre les dates de ses frères et soeurs il pourrait y avoir un Francois qqpart :).
