Thanks goes out to you for answering my questions in regards to writing appropriate source information. I have not been on WikiTree too much over the past couple of months since I have been gathering newspaper articles on my ancestors from Genealogy Bank. Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Thank you for sending the connection of Abram Stocking Blodgett to Mayflower Captain Myles Standish. I did not have Abram in my personal database, so I had to rely on Family Search to make the connection. Abram's father was Aaron Blodgett (1772-1857) who was married to Sarah Lilly in 1797. Aaron's father was captain Silas Blodgett (1731-1824) who I had captured in a previous search on my database. After entering the additional people, I see that I would be related to Abram Stocking Blodgett as a 4th cousin, 5 times removed. Far off of the beaten path, but sort of cool, nonetheless!

I have not located a Mayflower descendant. Most of the Blodgetts descend from Thomas Blodgett who emigrated from Stowmarket, Suffolk County, England, to America back in 1635. From eastern Massachusetts, my line has moved to western Massachusetts, southern Vermont, western New York (Genesee County), and southern Michigan.
