Biography
Elmer Lee Blankenship was born on 23 Nov 1931 at Middletown, Butler county, Ohio. He was the son of William Blankenship and Eliza (Borders) Blankenship. After high school Elmer enlisted in the Unites States Marine Corps and was a private in the Korean War. After returning from military service he met and married Geraldine 'Jerri' Miller on 26 Nov 1952.

Elmer worked for A.K. (Armco-Kansai) Steel Company in Middletown until his retirement. He and Jerri were winter residents of Vero Beach, Florida and later full time residents. They are seen in the city directories of Middletown in the 1950's. Note the cited references are for Mitchell Blankenship (Elmer's brother) but all Blankenship families are listed in the directories. In 1955 and 1956 they were residing at Hamilton, Butler county.

From 1956 to 1959 they are homeowners at 923 14th Avenue in Middletown.

Elmer passed away at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, Indian River county, Florida on 29 Jan 2013. He was 81 years old.

He is buried at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio.

Geraldine returned to Oho after Elmer's death. She is seen in public records at Liberty Township, Butler county.

She passed away on 25 Jul 2017 at the age of 85 years
