William Leland Bland was born on Mar 15, 1863 in Shelby County, Kentucky, United States, son of Thomas Pope Bland (1831–1914) and Levicy Jane Harris (1845–1925).[1]
William (25) married Amanda Beatrice Richey (23) (born in Barren, Kentucky) in 1889. Their children were:
- Mary E Bland (1890–1921)
- Richard Harris Bland (1891–1976)
- Nelle Bland (1892–1946)
In the 1900 census William (age 37) was the married head of household in Christianburg, Shelby County, Kentucky, United States.[2]
In the 1910 census William (age 47) was the married head of household in Bagdad, Shelby, Kentucky, United States.[3]
In the 1920 census William (age 56) was the married head of household in Shelby County, Kentucky, United States.[4]
In the 1930 census William (age 67) was the married head of household in Christiansburg, Shelby, Kentucky, United States.[5]
In the 1940 census Will (age 77) was the married head of household in Magisterial District 5 Christiansburg, Shelby, Kentucky, United States. Will and his wife Amanda were living on Vigo Pike.[6]
William died on Apr 7, 1945 in Shelbyville, Shelby County, aged 82.[7] [8] He was buried in Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, Shelby County, Kentucky.[1]
