Joseph Blanchette was born on January 1, 1836 in Sainte-Claire, Bas-Canada, son of Gabriel Blanchet (1812– ) and Marie Reine Crépeau (1814–1852).[1]
Joseph (32) married Marguerite Audet (21) (born on December 14, 1846 in Sainte-Claire, Canada-Est; daughter of Charles (Audet) Audet dit Lapointe and Émilie Roy) on February 24, 1868 in Sainte-Claire, Québec, Canada. [2]
