Jasper was born prior to 1500. His parents are unnamed in Peter Blake Sr.'s will. According to much research by William Blake, it appears Jasper was the eldest son of Peter Blake Jr. and Elizabeth (unknown) who were evidently deceased before Peter Blake Sr.'s will of 1500. Jasper's grandfather, Peter Blake Sr., named Elizabeth Spillman, his wife, his son John, nephew Thomas, and finally William Skypwith, Esq. as having responsibility for Rule and Keeping/Governance of Jasper. When he reached the age of 22, he was to inherit the Manor of Tonwells. See Blake Will & Pedigree attached.

There was a post-mortem conducted dated 28 January 1547 - 1548 in Norfolk by the Court of Wards & Liveries. See attached Court of Wards and Liveries - Post Mortem. NOTE: The Court of Wards and Liveries was a court established during the reign of Henry VIII in England. Its purpose was to administer a system of feudal dues and revenue collection. The court was also responsible for wardship and livery issues. This is evidence that Jasper was an orphan. See attached Explanation of the Court of Wards.
