Marie Marguerite Blais was born on August 21, 1802 in Saint-Vallier, Bas-Canada, daughter of Joseph Marie Blais and Geneviève Guillemet. She was baptized the same day. Godparents were Jean Baptiste Tangué and Marie Margueritte Gautron.[1]
