Biography

James Blair was born about 1850-1854.^[1] He was the son of Robert Blair of Drummeen (Drapers) townland, Lissan, County Londonderry.^[2]

On 23 Nov 1886 at Shankill Presbyterian, County Antrim, he married Mary Davison of Belfast, daughter of William Davison, farmer.^[3] Marriage Record

Mary passed away January 1911 at Belfast due to neck cancer. Their children live at Belfast in the 1911 census while James has returned to (or perhaps always remained at Drummeen.

He passed away 1 June 1924 "age 69" at Drummeen.^[4] In his declining years he was nursed by his sister, Mrs Millar. He was interred in the Old Moneymore Churchard. The chief mourners were:^[5]
