William was born in Weston, Somerset and baptised there on 21 January 1810.[1] He is the son of James Blackwell and Mary Poole.
William is not to be confused with the William Blackwell, baptised in Weston in 1810 to William and Sarah.[2] That William moved to Walcot and became a schoolteacher.
He is also not to be confused with the William baptised in Weston in 1809, parents William and Ann[3], although that William died a few days after birth.[4]
As to what happened with this William, I'm not sure. He probably moved out of the area and if he didn't die prior to 1851 probably emigrated.
