Biography

Susannah (Blackshear) Bryan was born in North Carolina.

Susannah was the daughter of James Blackshear and Catharine Franck. She married Edward Bryan, born 2 Oct 1759, died 2 Dec 1813.^[1][2][3]

Presumably, they married before 1785, but no record has been found. Among their children were:^[4]

She and two of her children, Joseph Bryan and Elizabeth "Betsey" Bryan, by Edward Bryan are mentioned in the 20 May 1829 will of her brother, Joseph Blackshear.^[6]
