Biography

Born on the 23rd of February 1805 Edward Blackett was son of William Blackett and his wife, Mary Ann Keene. ^[1] He was baptised at St Marylebone in Westminster on the 29th of March. ^[2]

He was a pupil of William Cross, Rector of Great Amwell in 1818. ^[3]

He married firstly Julia Monck on the 1st of May 1830 at St Margaret, Westminster. ^[4]She was the mother of his children. ^[1]

Julia died on the 15th of June 1846 and on the 16th of October 1851 Edward married widow Frances Vere Ord at St Francis, Bywell in Northumberland. ^[5] She died on the 28th of May 1874. ^[1]

Edward's third wife whom he married at Christ Church, Ottershaw on the 15th of June 1875 ^[6] was Isabella Helen Richardson who died at Matfen Hall on the 28th of February 1879. ^[7]

On the 5th of August 1880 at Thorpe in Surrey he married Alethea Rianette Anne Scott. ^[1]

Edward died on the 23rd of November 1885. ^[1]
