Biography

William aka Harry was born August 31, 1873^[1] in Elgin, New Brunswick. He was a son of Jehiel Bishop and Demetta Rosanna (Gildard) Bishop.^[2][3]

He married Flora B. Bishop, daughter of Sutherland Bishop and Melissa (Babcock) Bishop on Feb 4, 1903 in Albert County, New Brunswick. At the time, his occupation was listed as "Labourer."^[2] He engaged in farming in the Elgin area for the last 20 years of his life.^[3]

In 1921, Harris, hotel keeper, 47, Flora, 37, Olive, 16, Maxwell, 14, Alberta, 12, Hollis, 5, Arthur, 3 and Xavier?, 1 we’re residing in Elgin, Albert Co. Hial, income, 84 and Etta, 75, were residing next door.^[4]

William passed away Jan 14, 1942 in Elgin at the age of 69. He was interred at the Old Elgin Cemetery.^{[3] [5]}
